THE FUNDING GIRL

Most people see the funding. I see everything behind it.

I didn't learn this from one seat. I've operated every layer that moves money: capital, marketing, deal flow, underwriting, automation, renewals. Most people in this industry only see their piece. I see how the whole thing connects.

The industry is obsessed with the close.
I study what creates it.

Operator.

I've run the floor: sales, marketing, deal flow, underwriting, renewals. I've made the decisions, owned the outcomes, and lived with what they cost. This isn't theory. It's execution.

Builder.

I build what this industry should already have: AI underwriting, cleaner deal flow, automation that protects judgment instead of replacing it. As COO of LendGen.AI, I'm building the lending infrastructure that comes next.

Architect.

I connect the pieces most people treat separately: marketing, sales, the file, the follow-up, renewals, strategy. The system behind the revenue, seen from every seat at once.

Why This Exists

I didn't learn this industry from one seat. I learned it across every layer that moves revenue.

Sales taught me what owners say when the pressure is high. Marketing taught me what makes them answer. Operations taught me where momentum gets lost. Underwriting taught me what the file says before the owner does. Renewals taught me what the first deal was really worth.

Most people in this industry only ever see their piece: the lead, the deal, the file, the process. I've worked all of them.

That kind of perspective changes how you see funding.

It stops being one transaction.

It becomes the message, the timing, the file, the follow-up, the judgment,

and everything that decides whether money actually moves.

About

I built my edge where very few people operate comfortably.

My name is Vanessa Giraldo. Most people know me as The Funding Girl. I'm Managing Partner of Go Pro Capital and COO of LendGen.AI, but titles only tell part of the story.

What I actually do is build. Funding systems. Growth engines. Operational infrastructure. The technology that decides how capital moves through a business. My career has lived at the intersection of finance, operations, marketing, automation, and technology, where very few people operate comfortably. That's where I built my edge.

You learn things there. That revenue can look impressive while cash flow is bleeding. That the best capital decision isn't always the cheapest one. That a clean file can still tell a bad story. That pressure doesn't create problems. It reveals them.

I've never wanted to be the loudest voice in the room. I wanted to understand how the room worked.

Then improve it.

What I Believe

Funding doesn't start with the application. It starts with the message that made the owner respond.

Most deals are lost before underwriting ever sees them.

The file tells one story. The conversation tells another. The truth is in the gap between them.

Bad follow-up isn't a sales problem. It's a revenue leak.

Underwriting isn't reading numbers. It's reading behavior.

Business funding is emotional before it's financial. Owners just don't always say that part out loud.

Capital is a tool. Never a trophy.

The World I'm Building

Three ventures. One table.

Managing Partner

Go Pro Capital

Helping owners access working capital with clarity and structure, so the money solves the problem instead of becoming the next one.

COO

LendGen.AI

Building AI-driven lending infrastructure for smarter underwriting and cleaner workflows, without stripping out the judgment good capital requires.

Founder

The Funding Girl

The public voice for everything beneath the surface of business funding, where owners, operators, and builders learn how money really moves.

The Questions That Keep Showing Up

The work is interesting because the obvious answer is rarely the real one. These are the ones I keep coming back to.

Why does one message make an owner respond, and another get ignored?

Why do some businesses grow after funding while others struggle with the same capital?

What is an owner really buying when they ask for money?

Can technology make lending smarter without removing the judgment that makes it work?

Who This Is For

For owners who know revenue doesn't mean control.

For operators building cleaner systems.

For marketers who know the message is the first move.

For funders and brokers who understand nuance.

For capital partners watching quietly before they engage.

Enter the Room

I don't take every conversation. I take the right ones.

Owners seeking clarity. Operators building cleaner systems. Funders, marketers, and founders shaping what finance becomes next. If the conversation is serious and worth both our time, start there.

The future of business finance won't belong to the loudest voice in the room. It will belong to the operators, the builders, the people quietly creating the systems everyone else eventually relies on. That's the work that interests me.

Welcome to my world.
